Siliguri is a bustling city of West Bengal situated on the foothills of Eastern Himalayas. It is the third largest city of West Bengal. It is a small town located on the Mirik-Siliguri highway. Flanked beside river bank of Balason, Dudhia has become a famous destination for people of Siliguri and nearby places as an ideal picnicking spot.

Located in Matigara at a distance of 5km from Siliguri it is the first and only science centre of Siliguri. The entire ground of Siliguri Science City is sprawled with the emerald green lawn and well-manicured bushes. Inside the building of Science City, visitors can find a planetarium, and a Nature Interpretation Centre along with various objects which run using the basic law of physics.

BENGAL SAFARI PARK

Inaugurated by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, it is the first animal safari of Northern region. It is located in the outskirts of Siliguri at a distance of 8km. There are two types of safari currently available herbivore safari and carnivore safari in Bengal Safari Park.

It is considered as the most iconic structure built above the roaring river Teesta. Marking the crowning ceremony of King George the fifth, Coronation Bridge has become the vantage point to witness the river Teesta meandering through mountainous valley dotted with alpine forest.

Best time to visit Siliguri

Being situated in the lowland area the best time to relish the true beauty of Siliguri is during the onset of winter season (mid November to mid February), when the weather is soothing and less humid.
